This is Family Photography website content

We believe a portrait sitting can bring your family closer together. That a photo can help you see your family and yourself in a whole new light.
Home:
Chicago birth and family photojournalists Maggie and Jill  capture authentic moments and compile them into a collection of memories. From the everyday sweetness of morning cuddles to the power and awe of childbirth, we can give you a view of your family that you’ll treasure forever.
Brave, funny, messy, loud, sweet and tender: This is Family.

Birth photography:

The story of a woman becoming a mother. The story of a man becoming a father. The births in homes and hospitals where the dream of family becomes a reality.  These are your stories and each contains a magic all its own.  Jill and Maggie unobtrusively document the amazing power and hushed sanctity of childbirth while you fully participate in the experience. Birth photography and videography allow you to not only share this experience with others but also revisit its magic weeks, months and years later.

Philosophy statement:
We believe this is YOUR birth story, not a science class.
Birth is about family members meeting for the first time, and we want to tell your story the way you want to see it.
We believe your partner is integral to the birth and needs to focus on you, not on a camera.
This singular moment will never come again, but the memories can last a lifetime.

Family Photography:
What does family mean to you?
Deeper than words can explain, family is expressed in moments that can get lost in the busy-ness of life. A tired head resting briefly on a partner’s shoulder. Sibling giggles from under a blanket fort. Wide eyes and chubby fist holding your finger. This is Family … your family.

Philosophy Statement:

We believe a portrait sitting can bring your family closer together. That a photo can help you see your family and yourself in a whole new light.
Every day in your family, fleeting moments of love and connection happen, but you can’t always pause and simply enjoy their beauty.
Our photography sessions revolve around the ordinary beauty of family life. We document moments of connection rather than posing you for a “perfect” shot.
Our goal is to create and capture an emotional space in which you can relax and focus on the people you love most in the world.
In giving people a tangible reminder of their love we hope to show them that they already have everything they need in themselves and each other.
